1979 Honda CBX

This is a 1979 Honda CBX. I purchased the bike from the original owner. It has been sitting since 1992. The bike is currently running and I have ridden it, but I would not consider it to be road ready. All of the electrics work. The front brakes are functioning, but the rear is not. The rear master cylinder will need to be rebuilt. It will also need new tires. The engine does not make any unusual noises, but the revs hang for a second when you rev it. It could use a full tune up and carb sync. It does have a brand new NOS petcock installed and a new battery as well as fresh oil. In my opinion, the paint looks really good for it's age, though it is not perfect. The left exhaust has some rot near the joint, the right does not and is in good shape. The tank looks clean inside and has a couple little paint chips and small scratches. The seat does not have any rips or tears. It does have the original tool kit and owner's manual. It also comes with a Vetter fairing the previous owner had installed when new.  Other than the shocks and air adjustment on the forks, the bike is very original and in excellent cosmetic shape. Once the above noted maintenance is done, it will be an excellent rider.
This bike is being sold as is where is. I will work with a shipper of the buyers selection if needed. However, I will not arrange or pay for shipping. I do not accept Paypal for payment.
