This is a rust free Kentucky car, believed to have 65,000 original miles. Restored about 5 years ago, the quality is better than most. It has a beautiful appearance, factory red/red. Mechanically it is in excellent condition, it runs, drives and functions really well. Everything works except the squirters. The clock even works!
EXTERIOR: Rust free original metal. There's no bubbles, cracking or damage. It is absolutely straight from every angle, the body gaps are spot on. Repainted it's original Rangoon red and it is polished out like glass. Even the door jambs are painted real slick. The bumpers have new chrome. The spears on the fenders and hood have been replaced, new deluxe mirror. The grill, side moldings and tail panel are very nice original. The white convertible power top was replaced recently, it looks new. It has wire wheel hubcaps with spinners on radial tires.
INTERIOR: Factory red interior! This is one of my favorite interiors of that era. The door panels are so beautiful I would hang one on the wall in my office. It's an XL which is like Chevy's Super Sport so it has the bucket seats with a center console. Down on the floor the carpets have been replaced and it has the original Ford rubber floor mats. The seats have new cushions so they feel nice and firm. New upholstery front and back with chrome strips. The aluminum side covers are good originals. It has the optional padded dash. The instrument panel and console look very nice. The factory radio and clock work. Interior lights work. The visors have been replaced. The door panels, armrests and window cranks look new.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Rebuilt 390-300 hp with a 4 barrel. It runs fantastic, smooth and responsive. It was upgraded from a 353. The firewall and under the hood is painted slick gloss red. The engine bay is painted smooth satin black. The motor looks spotless, it has the correct air cleaner and valve covers with reproduction decals. The power brake system was upgraded, has a dual reservoir master cylinder. It also has power steering. Everything looks tidy and proper. New battery.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: This big trunk is rock solid and is detailed up beautifully. The paint under the trunk lid and the jamb are just as slick as the outside. The weather strip is new. It has a new complete liner kit including the side panels. It also has a spare with a matching wire hubcap.
UNDERSIDE: New front suspension components. The power steering control valve was just rebuilt. 4 new shocks. The brakes were recently redone. The fuel tank and straps look recently replaced. It has a dual exhaust with cherry bomb style mufflers. The floors are completely rust free and appear to be all original metal. I don't see any patches or rot anywhere, even the lower inner quarter panels are beautiful. It has been cleaned up and sprayed with a light factory type undercoat. Looking up at the motor it is still spotless. It has a smooth shifting Cruise-o-matic trans and 3.00 gears in the rear end.
This car comes from a real good seller. His cars are always well sorted, turn key ready. I think it has exceptionally nice fit and finishes. I look at a lot of cars and it's better then most Galaxies I've seen.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
Don't be intimidated, contact sales now for a no pressure, no hassle experience!

About Volo Auto Museum
No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum. Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960. We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos. For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion. Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.
Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful. We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after. Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift. No reasonable request will be turned down.
Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you. We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s. Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner. This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own. We invest approximately 00 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you. So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
