Very unmolested rust free original 42,000 mile desert car. Repainted with Imron five years ago. New or rebuilt carb, starter, fuel pump, exhaust. Tires. Comments tend to overheat from the factory, so it has a later year Falcon 289 V8 radiator that bolts right in, looks stock. modifications included a 4 to 6 inch seat track extension so I could fit in the car, new OEM looking red seatbelts. Previous owner did Upholstery.
For safety, I had Inline Tube make me a set of braided stainless steel brake lines. The brake system had been completely gone through.
Projects I would finish include re-lining wiper blades with vacuum motors off position post paint job. Install heater core if I was to ever drive in the winter which I don’t. Swap radios. Install antenna. Install carpet kit. Install headliner well. I did not install the shocks because I could not decide if I wanted to paint the fender wells or undercoat the car before I installed the shocks. I have a video of the car running. It starts easily, idols and runs beautifully. I’ll ask my mechanic, twice, to reassure me that a slight amount of vapor coming from the engine compartment is normal. And he says that is normal for pre-PCV valve cars. I was thinking about putting a Falcon air cleaner on it although it would not be the right color, so that it would have a PCV valve. It needs a brake master cylinder gasket.
